Alaska Outtakes--Pattern experiment 2.
Day 1 in Anchorage. After shooting a straightforward pattern shot of the hotel windows, I thought I would come out later and see how the glow of the city would light the building. But then I notice I could make it look different right away by juxtaposing with the lights that were coming on during twilight. I train the focus on the building and shoot through a leafless tree adorned with strings of Christmas lights. I let the camera think the lights are white, so it turns the rest of the world blue. I'm about to add another layer, maybe a silhouette of someone walking by, but I instead get distracted. Because I'm on the street, monkeying with my camera, I soon end up with my first top-ten folio photo.
