Alaska Top Ten--Tee Pee.
Day 2 in Talkeetna. My fortunate conversation with a man at a brewpub points me to a bar across town--a few blocks away. He describes it as a place with character that locals like to visit, the Teepee. I document the outside, where the sign reads "Tee Pee Oasis." The scene reminds me of that Marion Post Wolcott image of a snowy street in Woodstock, VT http://lcweb2.loc.gov/service/pnp/ppmsc/00200/00240v.jpg). I think of making it black & white too, but the green has that aurora borealis feel to it. Inside, I ask the bartender, "Why is Tee Pee two words?" He just shakes his head over that one. A place with character, yes.
