Alaska Top Ten--Club Alaska.
Day 1 in Anchorage. During my first few hours with the new Sony cameras, I try a dynamic range exercise: how broad are the lights and darks? Club Paris is apparently Anchorage's oldest steakhouse (and seafood!), around since the 1950's. I want to see if the top of the Eiffel Tower, jutting out of the "Cocktails - Dining" sign, is still dimly visible, and it is. On the bright end of the range, I can still see the bulb in the streetlamp, nice. While I do this, an Aleut walks by, What are you doing? Glad you asked…
